The Västervik district is Crustal's priority and includes Gladhammar as well as several nearby target areas in the Västervik area. The district provides the company with a regional position around an identified mineralisation, where existing deposits can be evaluated and new target areas can be prioritised within the same overall geological environment.
Geologically, Västervik constitutes a coherent environment with documented mineralisation of gold, silver, copper, and other strategic metals, among others. The core is Gladhammar, where the identified gold deposit serves as a technical reference point for the district. Around this, there are additional mineralised zones, historical mining environments, and geophysical anomalies that together point to a broader exploration system rather than a single isolated target.
Crustal's exploration model is based on combining historical data with new field information. The work focuses on understanding how the mineralisation occurs along strike, at depth, and in parallel structures, as well as how magnetic anomalies, historic mining environments, and sampling results relate to one another. Through geophysics, sampling, analysis of historical drill core material, and stepwise target prioritisation, the company can build a more robust technical foundation for future drilling and continued project development.
